Established in the year 1999, Yenepoya Medical College is one of the best colleges in India which provides quality education in the field of Medical Science. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Science. In the year 2005, the college started 7 postgraduate departments, which was approved by Medical Council of India [MCI]. Nowadays the college is providing quality education by conducting Post Graduate Courses in various 20 departments. Yenepoya Medical College has 900 bed which also includes 72 ICU beds.
The hospital has a state of art Infrastructure and it is equipped with latest technical equipment for providing general and special health care of the patients. The college has a library which is also a Digital Information Centre. It is spread over an area of 2406 square metre and is located in the academic block. It has a collection of 14872 Medical Books, 774 CDs and 201 national and international journals. This collection is always being updated by the with fresh contents.
Candidates seeking admission in MBBS have to appear National Eligibility cum entrance test, which is NEET. The test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. The candidate has to score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the 10+2 and should have passed from a recognised university. Candidate should have taken English as a compulsory subject. The candidates which belong to reserved categories, i.e Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe has to score a minimum aggregate of 40% marks. The duration of the course is 5.5 years.

The college every year reserved 20 to 25% of seats for students in management quota. This is quota helps the students to develop their skills and confidence as the university provides personality development classes and soft skill classes for the students. The students just have to pay a deposit of a certain amount in the name of college trust and they can take admission in the college.

I Did my MBBS from the college, the faculties are highly educated and the infrastructure facilities are really nice. I gave Karnataka Common Entrance Test [KCET]. The hostel rooms are really good and it is equipped with all the essential amenities. Overall it was a good experience.
